HR Leader – Sr. Manager, HR

The HR Leader is responsible for providing support on a broad range of human resources services in partnership with company objectives and human resources initiatives. You will partner and resolve questions and situations across a wide-range of HR topics, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, training, on-boarding, policy administration and immigration.
Analyzes internal and external metrics to assess organizational effectiveness and recommends changes to positively impact the business.
Executes on initiatives to increase productivity, employee performance, employee engagement and partners with the management team to design and implement programs to drive results.
Partner and coach managers and their teams on HR issues including development, engagement and performance management.
Responsible for HR compliance boards, training and reporting including harassment training for managers/employees, and EEO1/Form 5500.
Manage and participant in annual surveys, e.g. (Radford) including annual compensation survey, quarterly trend and benefits survey.
Assist with ongoing immigration projects and issues including preparation, review, and filing of H1B visas, L visas and employment based Green Card processing.
Coordinate and support training programs, performance appraisal process, compensation planning.
Manage Workers Compensation and Leave of Absences and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Preferred Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
BA/BS degree in Business, Human Resources or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist with broad based HR knowledge in Performance Management, Employee Relations, Compensation, Training, Immigration, Compliance and Reporting, and HRIS.
Experience in Biotech or pharmaceutical preferred.
Proven track record in working in a small company, fast paced environment.
Must be able to develop solutions to a wide range of highly complex problems, some of which require ingenuity, creativity and innovativeness.
Ability to exercise excellent judgement and independently determine and take appropriate action within defined HR policies
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality; strong sense of professional integrity, maturity and judgment.
Exceptional attention to detail, with excellent time management, organizational, prioritization skills.
Strong knowledge and application of state and federal employment laws.
